Prague hidden gems to visit in autumn and winter 2023

25.09.2023
Prague, with its fairytale architecture, winding cobblestone streets, and storied history, is a city that enchants visitors year-round. While the Charles Bridges and Prague Castles of the world are timeless favorites, there's an undeniable allure in uncovering the city's lesser-known treasures. As the leaves change color and winter blankets the Czech capital in a snowy embrace, there's no better time to venture off the beaten path and explore Prague's hidden gems. Join me on a journey to reveal the intimate, enchanting, and often overlooked attractions that make Prague a captivating destination in the autumn and winter of 2023.

1) Kafe & Hrnky (= coffee & cups)

If you ere as me a creative soul, you're visiting Prague, butthere is a bad weather outside, then this is the best place for you . It is a tiny cafe near the Prague castle, with delicious beveradges, both hot and cold and tasty cakes and other small snacks. But that' s not all- if you walk up the small spiral staircase, you will find an adorable pottry studio. There you can buy any cup, mug, plate, bowl or vase ( they have so many of these and all of them are handmade, so each piece is an original) that you like and paint it with any pattern or pictire you want (and can do ofc :)). I dit this last year with my friend, we had so much fun and overall enjoyed it so much. We painted the mugs- one cost about 200,- Kč (=8,67 $, 8,13€) .  After we finished them, we left them there to be fired- it took about three days, depends on the amount of custommers- and then we picked them up (but you can also choose delivery). Overall, lovely way to spent a rainy afternoon, recommend 100%.
