Prague- how to get from the airport to the city
Prague is beautiful city all year round and very popular tourist destination. And unless you're travelling from other close European countries, you are probably getting here by airplane. the thing is, in Prague we do not have metro or train line that would get people comfortably from there. But you still have many options how to get from the airport to the centre, here they are:
The first option is to go by bus- there are several buses going from the airport to the city- mostly they will arrive to one of the metro stops (Zličín or Nádraží Veleslavín). From there you can go by metro (for more see my article How to get around Prague). The buses stops are straight in front of the terminals (line numbers 119 or 100) and they arrive every few minutes. The tickets could be bought in automats at the terminals, in airport visitors centre or online through app PID lítačka - these will be the same tickets that can be used in other public transport. You don´t need to book them in advance. This option is probably the cheapest, but I understand it might not be the most comfortable option.
Get a taxi- this is definitely a more comfortable option. There is a 24/7 taxi system on the airport. You can book in online through web Airport taxi or find one at the airport. The prices are measured by taximeters, so the drivers shouldn´t have much chances to scam you. Another bonus is that there should be a free Wi-Fi in the cars. This option is the most expensive, but If you are for example arriving late and have a lot of luggage, I would say it's worth it.
The last option is to rent a car. If you know you will be using car often here, or if you want to travel around Czech and not just stay in Prague, than this is the best option. Again there are many car rentals at the airport, or if you want to book in advance, I would recommend website Discover Cars- they compare car rental deals from different companies to find the best one, and they are also cheaper and easy to book.
